Ng Jia Suen

Hello! My name is Ng Jia Suen. I graduated from Diploma in Architecture in Singapore Polytechnic and am pursuing Bachelor of Arts in Architecture at the National University of Singapore.

 

Spatial computational and form design has been an interest of mine since the age of 10. When I was young, I admired architecture only for its aesthetics. However, after 3 years of education in architecture, my perception has changed. Other than aesthetics, I now admire how architecture has the power to shape the lifestyle of people and the importance of architectural details.

During my course of studies, I have completed a number of projects which includes a transient shelter for the homeless, an eco house for an elderly couple, a 15 storeys high residential building targeting the millennials and a 6 storeys institution for future theatre students.

These projects require me to sketch and make models, both hand-built and using 3D software, which I personally enjoy doing.

Apart from academic pursuits, I am especially keen in painting and photography which I would capture moments of places I have been to.
